AUGUST 5 MANISTEE SHORELINE SHOWCASE: Live jazz concerts.  Rotary Gazebo, First Street Beach, Manistee.

AUGUST 8 FISH FRY: 5 p.m.-7 p.m., VFW Post, 1211 28th Street, Manistee.  Take out available, 231-723-9220.  Fried fish, shrimp, chicken, smelt, fries, baked potatoes, $6 adults, $3.50 children 10 and under.

AUGUST 12 MANISTEE SHORELINE SHOWCASE: Live jazz concerts.  Rotary Gazebo, First Street Beach, Manistee.

AUGUST 16 BEAR LAKE COMMUNITY YARD SALE: Yard sales throughout the area, map available, restaurant specials and merchant sidewalk sales. Project of Bear Lake Promoters, 231-864-5030.
