36 holes of championship golf on two public courses. Located just three miles south of Manistee on US-31. Offers golfers of every level enjoyment on two distinctly different courses. The only combination golf and lodging in the Manistee area. The 18 hole Canthooke Valley course, designed by Gary Pulsipher, a par 72 ranging from 5,000 to 6,600 yards, is a very playable layout and enough challenge for all levels. Heavily wooded in a pine and oak forest, featuring wetlands, mixed among long par 4's, generous greens and a fair share of shorter holes that should test a golfer's iron skill. Cutter's Ridge, the 18 hole Jerry Matthews design, which is expected to open late in ‘99 season is expected to be ranked among the top courses in Northern Michigan. It will provide a rugged challenge for the more experienced player and will require the "player" in all of us to step forward. Staffed by PGA professionals, Manistee National also offers PGA instruction and clinics, rental clubs, a practice facility (est 7/99), and complete pro shop.
